…when every puddle is a chance to splash around. When do we lose that ability? I mean the ability to see things for that moment before the consequences of our actions come filtering down through our brain preventing us from enjoying each moment for what it is or could be. When do we start viewing a puddle as a mud hole and not an opportunity to connect with nature?
Anyway, I am logging it. Every spring I am recording the puddle progress with my camera to see when the change occurs. This picture was taken two years ago when my daughter was three. And yes, I should have made sure I emptied out her boots before hoisting her into the truck. 🙂
All I see in puddles these days is “wet socks” rather than “splashing fun” 😦

Adorable. Even the boots won’t keep her dry.
