Trolling

I will be the first to admit that I didn’t want the boat. I didn’t think we needed one. Hubby must have talked about it for a full year before showing up with a 14 foot aluminum in our backyard. He was sooo happy with his purchase. You should have seen his face – that big smile stretching from ear to ear, he could barely contain his excitement. I couldn’t even pretend to be mad at him.

Turns out I love it. There really is nothing to do on the boat. There isnt a pile of laundry staring at me, there isn’t a sink full of dishes, there isn’t a garden that needs tending or a house that needs mending. There’s nothing to do but to enjoy the view.

Hubby calls this trolling/jigging/fishing. I call it relaxing.

For the lens artists photo challenge: time to relax

      1. They were pretty young, maybe 7 or 8. On the lake at first and progressed up to some Swift water now, even class I rapids here and there. They’re pretty good now, but haven’t tried them on a serious river…yet. πŸ˜ƒ
