Share Your World – March 19, 2018

What is your earliest memory?

I remember my grandmother reading to me on the corner of an old black and white striped sectional couch we had. She said I was smart because I had guessed what the next words were going to be by looking at the picture. I don’t remember if that story had been read to me before. But I do remember wondering if being smart was a good thing.

Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?

Honest? I have a year and a half year old so the toilet paper is up and far away from her grabby little fingers. She loves the stuff. Unrolling it all over the bloody house and ripping it into tiny pieces.

What makes you feel grounded?

Nature. Birds tweeting, wind rustling through the leaves, water lapping at the shore.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

This conversation:

Me: What would you like to do today?

My daughter (she’s five): Well, we could hop in the car and go looking for birds. We haven’t done that in a looong time.

It brought such a smile to my face to hear her say that. I am so glad my love of nature is rubbing off on her. 😊

Thank you, Cee, for the questions this week

    1. I know! It’s too bad we are still covered in snow! The birds won’t return here until the water appears (I think). Until then, we unpatiently waiting for spring!!
