Thursday Special: Pick a Word

My take on Paula’s Pick a word prompt

candescent: glowing or dazzling from or as if from great heat

Auricomous: having golden or yellow hair

And this may be cheating a bit, but I did have some fun in the algid (cold) weather capturing this

I really like the angularย design of the ice forming. It is almostย festive, isn’t it?

  1. Love the bubble! I tried to make one yesterday, and after I managed to produce a very tiny one, my hands were frozen so I quit ๐Ÿ˜‰ Will try again one of these days. ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Have a wonderful day.

    1. It does require a fair bit of patience! I used a straw to make the bubbles to save my fingers and my camera slung around my shoulders. Good luck on your next attempt. I think I will be making a post with some hints in the next few days (hopefully) ๐Ÿ˜Š Have a good night!

    1. I made a mix of corn syrup, sugar and dish soap and blew the bubbles outside on to the table covered in snow. I used a straw so I could blow it down and prayed that it would stick and not pop. Manual focus, continuous shooting as the ice crystals are forming. I’ll probably be posting some helpful hints or a how to soon.

  2. How brilliant is this post! I loved your interpretations, your “auricomous”, algid with angles, and your festive candescent is such a good shot. So glad you joined in. Have a great week!
