I tried this shot after a snowfall too but the snow just ends up falling off as soon as they land. The morning that I took this, the trees were laddened with a thick coat of hoar frost. It lasts longer. And I waited and waited for them to perch where I wanted them to be. It helps to have feeders around π
I love them! This was taken in my backyard, close to my feeders. I find them following me around looking for treats. I talk to them when I put the bird seed out in the mornings. I think it helps to tame them. π
Aah! Such a lovely, wintry scene you’ve captured. So beautful! β€

That lovely soft pinkish, apricot of his feathers on the thirds captures the eye, nice composition Kelly

Thanks so much! I was waiting for the snow to come so I could try it. Feeding them helps π

Beautiful photo. I have chickadees: no snow, though!

This makes me sad that we don’t have snow where I live. The framing is perfect!

And thanks for the compliment π I am working on better frames and paying attention to what’s in and around them instead of just snapping.
