This past weekend I attempted to capture the “beauty of winter.” You know when the sun hits the snow and it glitters like diamonds? And it makes you think ‘Damn, this world is beautiful‘ (even though the wind is whipping and your fingers are red and cramped from the cold and your cheeks are burning because they may or may not be on the fringe of getting frost-bitten.)
Most of the pictures did not turn out the way I envisioned. This is the closest I came.
(In hindsight, I should dig out my ski pants because I think this picture would benefit from a lower perspective. But I was so very reluctant to kneel down in the snow in my jeans. But that’s also part of the learning process, a part of the experiment.)
